Note taking is very necessary when it comes to daily activities because most times one might tend to forget things easily. Today I want to introduce a new software that suites the role of a mobile diary. Diaries are kept to record information and to store short necessary information or simply for documentation. As a writer and researcher, most times different ideas come to my mind of things I need to do or to write about and most times I do forget some of them but imagine if I had a mobile diary surely remembering wont be difficult. The software in question is evernote, in my own explanation is a mobile diary that can be used to store information with regards to work. You can use it to create a sequential order of activities for the day or to key any information that jumps into your mind. The download link is www.evernote.com. It can be installed both in a mobile device like smart phones, laptops and desktop computers. It has features for keying in text, inserting pictures, videos and sketching in order to order the arrangements one has in mind. It is a free source software. All you have to do is open an account on their website, download the software and you are good to go. On a final note, it keeps your memory with you. So u dont have to think too much because you have all sorted out in your mobile diary (evernote).

THE MORE RECENT AND FAST GROWING RANGE OF DIGITAL COMMUNICATION.
ICT refers to the communication of data by electronic means, usually over some distance. This is often achieved via networks of sending and receiving equipment, wires and satellite links. The technologies involved in communication tend to be complex. The aspects of digital communication relate primarily to the types of network and the ways of connecting to the internet.
Internal networks usually referred to as a Local Area Network (LAN), this involves linking a number of hardware items (input and output devices plus computer processing). The aim of LAN is to be able to share hardware facilities such as printers or scanners, software applications and data. This type of network is invaluable in the office environment where colleagues need to have access to common data or programmes. External networks often need to communicate with someone outside the internal network in this case, one will need to be part of ‘Wide Area Network’. The internet is the ultimate Wide Area Network (WAN). It is a vast network of networks.
The nature of information covers topics such as the meaning and value of information; how information is controlled; the limitations of ICT.
Management of Information covers how data is captured, verified and stored for effective use; the manipulation, processing and distribution of information; keeping information secured; designing networks to share in formation.
Information system strategy considers how ICT can be used within a business or organisation as part of achieving goals and objectives.

I C T - INFORMATION COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGY.
Apart from explaining an acronym, there is not a universally accepted definition of Information Communication Technology (ICT). Because the concepts, methods, and applications involved in ICT are constantly evolving on an almost daily basis. It’s difficult to keep up with the changes. They happen so fast.
A good way to think about ICT is to consider all the uses of digital technology that already exist to help individuals, businesses, and organisations use information. ICT covers any product that will store, retrieve, manipulate, translate, transmit or receive information electronically in a digital firm. For example, personal computers, digital television, email, etc. So ICT is concerned with the storage, retrieval, manipulation, transmission or receipt of digital data. Importantly, it is also concerned with the way these different uses can work with each other.
THE TRADITIONAL COMPUTER-BASED TECHNOLOGIES (THINGS YOU CAN TYPICALLY DO ON A PERSONAL COMPUTER OR USING COMPUTYERS AT HOME OR AT WORK)
THE TRADITIONAL COMPUTER-BASED TECHNOLOGIES APPLICATIONS.
An application is a tool that helps one accomplish a particular task with regards to different fields or works of life.
Standard office applications: main examples; word processing (Microsoft word) used for writing letters, reports, etc. Spreadsheets: (micro-excel) used for analysing financial information, calculations, create forecasting models etc.
Database software: examples; oracle, Microsoft SQL Servers. Access; managing data in many forms, from basic lists (example customer contacts through to complex material).
Presentation Software: examples include MS powerpoint used for making presentations, either directly using a computer screen or data projector.
Desktop Publish: examples include adobe indesign, quark express, MS publisher which are used to produce news letters, magazines and other complex documents.
Graphics Software: examples include adobe photoshop and illustrator which are used to create and edit images such as logos, drawings, or pictures for use in websites or other publishers.
Specialist Applications: examples include accounting package such as sage, oracle, etc. used to manage an organisation’s accounts including revenues, sales, purchases, bank accounts, etc. A wide range of systems is available ranging from basic packages suitable for small businesses through to sophisticated ones aimed at multinational companies.
Computer Aided Design (CAD): it is the use of computers to assist the design process specialised CAD programs exist for many types of design; architectural, engineering, electronics, roadways.
Customer Relations Management (CRM) are softwares that allows businesses to better understand their customers by collecting and analysing data on them such as their product preferences, buying habits, etc.
