When
your computer has trouble booting into windows, you usually need to boot
Windows in Safe Mode to fix it. When your computer boots into safe mode,
Windows only loads the bare minimum and suspends most device drivers. By
suspending most drivers, safe mode eliminates boot problems caused by
mal-functioning drivers so that you can fix them and boot back into normal
mode. If you loaded a new device driver or software application before your
Windows boot problems began, you should remove that program or device driver
while in safe mode.
When
you reboot your computer after an unsuccessful startup, you should get a text
menu suggesting that you boot windows into safe mode. If you don’t get the text
menu, and your computer still has trouble booting into Windows, you need to
instruct Windows to display the boot menu to force your computer into safe
mode. How can you do this?
